It’s that time of year again. The APMAs are just around the corner. There are some amazing nominees in all categories this year, but we want to highlight the nominees for the Artist Philanthropic award because it celebrates kick ass artists who take a stand for what they believe in. Here’s a little more info about each of the nominees.
Andrew McMahon – Dear Jack Foundation
After being diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia at the young age of 23, Andrew McMahon established the Dear Jack Foundation, which helps youth fulfill the dreams and desires that the life-threatening diagnosis of cancer has pushed out of reach.

Jake Luhrs – HeartSupport
August Burns Red’s lead vocalist, Jake Luhrs, established Heart Support to support young adults as they deal with family issues, relationship issues, mental illness, through peer-to-peer mentoring, recovery programs, and the love of music.
The Used – Living the Dream
The Used teamed up with Living the Dream to provide fans with life-threatening illnesses with the awesome experience of getting to hang out with them during their tour.

The Wonder Years – Puppies Behind Bars, After School All-Stars, The Herren Project, Futures Without Violence
